Ingredients
  

For the Banana Bread:

  • 2 large ripe bananas mashed
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon

For the Espresso Glaze:

  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp brewed espresso cooled
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Step 1:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • Step 2:
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together mashed bananas, melted butter, and sugar until smooth and well combined.
  • Step 3:
  • Add eggs and vanilla extract to the banana mixture. Mix until fully incorporated.
  • Step 4:
  • In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Step 5:
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture. Stir until just combined (don't overmix).
  • Step 6:
  • Fold in chopped walnuts gently until evenly distributed.
  • Step 7:
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Spread it evenly with a spatula.
  • Step 8:
  • Bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Step 9:
  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Step 10:
  • To make the espresso glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, brewed espresso, and vanilla extract until smooth and pourable.
  • Step 11:
  • Drizzle the glaze over the cooled banana bread. Allow it to set for 10 minutes before slicing.
