Instructions

  • Mash the bananas until smooth and lump-free.
  • Mix in melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
  • Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Alternate adding dry ingredients and espresso into the banana mixture, mixing gently.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
  • Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with only a few crumbs.
  • Cool the bread in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  • Whisk the glaze ingredients until smooth, then drizzle generously over the cooled bread.
