Ingredients
  

  • 2 pizza dough balls store-bought or homemade, your call
  • 1 cup tomato sauce use a good quality one
  • 2 cups fresh mozzarella cheese sliced thin
  • 1 bunch fresh basil leaves about 10–12 leaves per pizza
  • 2 tbsp olive oil extra virgin for that rich flavor
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven: Set it to 475°F (245°C). Place your pizza stone inside if using.
  • Roll the dough: On a floured surface, roll each dough ball into a thin circle. Don’t worry about making it perfect.
  • Top with sauce: Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over each pizza base.
  • Add cheese: Lay the mozzarella slices evenly across the pizzas.
  • Bake: Transfer the pizzas to the oven and bake for 12–15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  • Finish with basil: Remove from the oven and immediately top with fresh basil leaves.
  • Drizzle with olive oil: Finish with a generous drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
  • Slice and serve: Use your pizza cutter to slice, and serve hot.
