  • 1 Coffee grinder

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup coffee beans
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Grind the coffee beans in a coffee grinder to a coarse consistency.
  • In a saucepan, combine the coffee grounds, sugar, and water.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for 15-20 minutes or until it has thickened to a syrupy consistency.
  • Remove the pan from the heat and add the vanilla extract.
  • Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a glass jar or bottle.
  • Let the syrup cool to room temperature before refrigerating.
  • To make iced coffee, simply add a tablespoon or two of the syrup to your desired amount of cold brew or brewed coffee and mix well. Serve over ice.
