  • Brewed espresso cooled: 1/2 cup
  • Vanilla or chocolate protein powder: 1 scoop
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder: 1 tbsp
  • Almond milk or preferred milk: 1/2 cup
  • Ice cubes: 1 cup
  • Honey or maple syrup: 1 tbsp optional
  • Vanilla extract: 1/4 tsp
  • Whipped cream: For topping optional

Instructions
 

  • Prepare espresso: Brew 1/2 cup of espresso and let it cool to room temperature.
  • Add to blender: Combine espresso, protein powder, cocoa powder, almond milk, and ice cubes in a blender.
  • Sweeten: Add honey or maple syrup and vanilla extract to taste.
  • Blend: Blend on high until smooth and frothy.
  • Serve: Pour into a tall glass, top with whipped cream if desired, and add a straw.
