I whip this up on those rare evenings when I’m not busy saving the world with my barista skills or binge-watching cat videos. It’s the perfect way to unwind after a long day, or to impress guests with my impeccable taste. Plus, it’s a fabulous excuse to enjoy coffee in the evening without the usual judgment.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup cold brew coffee
  • 2 ounces dark rum or your favorite spirit—let’s live a little
  • 1 ounce coffee liqueur because more coffee is always better
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup to add a touch of sweetness
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract optional, for a hint of sophistication
  • Ice cubes to keep it cool and classy
  • Coffee beans or a cinnamon stick for garnish, if you're feeling fancy
